THE NAMM SHOW – 2019

The NAMM Show is an annual event that is referred to as “the world’s largest trade-only event for the music products, pro audio and event tech industry.”

Founded in 1901, NAMM stands for the National Association of Music Merchants. It is a Not-for-Profit Association that supports the $17 billion global music, sound and event technology industry. The NAMM Show showcases the newest innovations in music, recording technology, sound, stage, and lighting products. Here is a useful PDF of the History of the NAMM Trade Show.

Since 2008, The Winter NAMM Show has been held every Winter in Anaheim, CA at the Anaheim Convention Center and The Summer NAMM Show has been held every Summer in Nashville, TN at the Music City Center.

The Winter Show focuses on Dealers and Distributors. It highlights new products, deal negotiations, and purchasing plans. Numerous musical artists attend the show to promote the products, in particular signature models and equipment. The association’s Summer Show is approximately one quarter the size of the Winter NAMM Show and focuses more on industry meetings and professional development rather than products, deal negotiations and purchasing plans.

In 2018, there were over 115, 000 registered attendees with over 7,000 brands represented and over 2,000 exhibiting companies across the NAMM Show Campus.
